James Carter
James Carter

One of the few so-called Young Lions who seems to know that jazz didn't die in 1960, multi-reedman James Carter is also one of the few to consort with free jazz veterans. An accomplished tenor and baritone saxophonist, the Detroit-born musician has a gift for unusual CD projects and will even work as a sideman. Shown at the Calumet Arts Cafe in Buffalo, 1995.
